Abstract
The aim of this survey is to find out the ESL teachers' use of self-access learning materials for English in teaching English Language. Interviews were conducted and the information obtained was described and discussed. The ESL teachers from Kuching-Samarahan District and Sibu District were interviewed to find out their use and problems faced in using self-access materials for English in teaching English language. The findings revealed that only a minority of ESL teachers is currently using the self-access materials for English although all of the teachers participated in this study agreed that the use of the self-access materials has positive impact on their students learning. Apart from that, the findings also revealed various reasons underlying teachers' setback in using self-access learning materials for English in teaching English.
