Abstract

The purpose of this study was to discover the relationship spiritual intelligence and organizational commitment in government organization. This study was conducted in a government organization in Sarawak. Total 135 of respondents were involved in this research. This study used quantitative method. Data was collected using questionnaire which was distributed randomly and the data was analyzed using Statistical Packages for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 25. The independent variables is spiritual intelligence which consist of four components which are critical existential thinking (CET), personal meaning production (PMP)transcendental awareness (TA), and conscious states expansion (CSE) and dependent variable is organizational commitment. Pearson correlation and multiple regression test has been used to analyze the data. The fmdings indicates that there is a moderate positives relationship between spiritual intelligence and organizational commitment. There is a weak positive relationship between critical existential thinking and organizational commitment and also weak positive relationship between personal meaning production and organizational commitment. There is moderate positive relationship between transcendental awareness and moderate positive relationship of conscious state expansion with organizational commitment. Recommendation for future studies is that researcher used qualitative method and wider the sample used to other industries in other state in Malaysia.
