Abstract

This research was carried out to study the factors that contribute to the efectiveness of the monitoring process by the facilitators in the QCC implementation in semigoverment sector. This research has been conducted at Sarawak Economic Development Corporation (SEDC). The objective of the research was to identzh the factors such as commitment, communication, leadership, motivation and training that contribute to the efectiveness of the monitoring process by the facilitators in the QCC implementation in semigoverment sector. There were 33 respondents involved in this research. Set of questionnaires was used to test the formulated hypothesis. A descr~tive statistical method comprising of the total score analysis, percentage andfiequency was used to provide the summary for the demographic parts. The inferential statistical method using The Spearman Rank Correlation Coeflcient analysis was wed to test the 5 hypothesis being formulated. The research findings revealed that; there was a signlJicant correlation between training factor (r=O. 705), motivation factor (r=0.495), communication factor (r =O. 692). commitment factor (r=O. 575) and leadership factor (r=O. 767) to the the effectiveness of the monitoring process by the facilitators in the QCC implementation activities in semigoverment sector. Result show that leadership factor was a dominant factor (R Square=0.588) . This research had also indicated that the level of monitoring process was very high (100%). This result was due to SEDC's commitment by looking at QCC activities as an important approach to increase work qualities, productivities and services for the customers. Moreover, the QCC activities has been long succesJilly implemented in SEDC and had gained many national and international award. Based on research findings, several suggestions were put forward for futher improvement due to the effectiveness of the monitoring process by facilitators in the QCC implementation in semi government sector. Efficient implementation of QCC activities were important to achieve the company mission and vision in the future.
