Abstract

In crawling towards the development of the knowledge economy, Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia play an important to protects the creative industries and fabrication in Malaysia in particular. Intellectual property has three main elements, namely industrial property, copyright and comman law. Leading to industrial property is patents, trademarks, industrial designs, geographical indications and integrated circuit design. The advantage to employers who register their products under this corporation is they can keep the quality, the quality and authenticity of their products. The use of this corporation in Malaysia is still not yet widely compared to other developed countries. This study will explore the roots of traditional products Tebaloi entrepreneurs are not informed about their rights to patent their products.
