Abstract
Malaysian Ministry of Education issued directive to all its public universities, including Universiti Malaysia Sarawak, to review their policies including options for corporatisation. The complexities of governance in public universities currently managed as governmental agencies under the jurisprudence of the ministry; the distinctions in organizational setup; processes and procedures which entail restructuring are aspects that require in depth deliberation.
