Abstract

This study aims to identify the relationship between individual factor and work environment on the transfer of training. The research was studied Riverside Hotel, Grand Margherita dan Damai Beach Resort. A total number of 110 sets of questionnaire were distributed to housekeeping staff but only 102 sets was return. Pilot test was conducted at Pusat Pemajuan Pelajar Unimas and Faculty Cognitive Sciences Human Development (FCSHD) and 30 sets of questionnaire were distributed. The collected data was analyzed SPSS version 18.0. Pearson Correlation was used to test the significant relationship between dimension in individual factor and transfer of training, and dimension in work environment factor and transfer of training. Besides that, Multiple Regression Analysis was used to identify the dominant factor that influencing transfer of training. In conclusion, the finding showed that individual factors and work environment were positively related to the training of transfer. The result showed that dimension in individual factor that has significant relationship with transfer of training is personalty. Meanwhile, dimension ~. in work environment that has significant relationship with transfer of training is organization culture. Among the factors studied in this research, individual factor was found be the most dominant factor that influencing transfer of training.
