Abstract
Pressure driven membrane technology such as Nano membrane is existing long time ago and have been used many applications in advanced country. The aim of this study is to determine the effect of the different values of pH for feed solution on the rejection of the Nano membrane. Besides that, effect of operating times and variety of pressure level on the rejection percentage also is the purpose of this study. For this research, two testing equipments have been used; one is Laboratory Scale Nano Membrane Filtration Unit and another one Micro Level Nano Membrane Filtration Unit which is developed by me in UNIMAS laboratory. Sample of the waste water is taken from local industry. After doing the experiment, the result from the laboratory Scale Nano membrane unit shows that the best operating pH level for feed solution to get maximum rejection is between 7 till 8. Pressure more than 0.8MPa decrease the TDS rejection. Finally, the efficiency of Micro level Nano membrane filtration unit is found to be about 30% in terms of TDS rejection.
