Abstract
Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV) is widely used in flexible manufacturing system as one of the significant transportation in material handling. Automated Guided Vehicle in Flexible manufacturing system based on mobile robot function developed to improve the problems of using guided tape or magnetic tape. In this project, the low cost AGV is build to move without restraint with the guided tape or line follower. The project consist of the sensor to sense, the microcontroller as the important utility for the AGV, the stepper motor for the actuation of the AGV and the chassis as the body of the AGV. The ultrasonic sensor works as sensor to detect obstacles. The microcontroller used in these projects is AT89S52 by using language C to build up the source code for controlling the stepper motor and to respond to the sensitivity of the sensor. Autodesk software is used to design the chassis and attach it with the stepper motor.
