Abstract

This research project attempted to find out about Teachers' awareness on Dyslexia to enable them to identify a dyslexic student if they saw one in their classroom. In this project, teachers' exposures are important to enable them to identify their students who have learning problems such as dyslexia. Three different section namely Teachers Exposure to Dyslexia, teachers' perception towards being dyslexia literate and the ability to identify a dyslexic student if they saw one were discussed. The data were analysed and presented in the form of percentage. The results showed that most of the respondents did not have any exposure to dyslexia and were unable to identify a dyslexic student if they saw one, this research project concluded that teachers need to be literate about dyslexia and they need to be expose to dyslexia like going for courses or seminars related to dyslexia to help them to be able to identify dyslexic student easily in their classrooms.
