Abstract
This study was conducted to determine the factors that influence indisciplinary behavior among employees at a public organization, that is Semporna District Office, in Sabah. A survey methodology was used in this study. A survey questionnaire was used to obtain data from the respondents. The sample comprised 53 persons, who were lower level employees of the organization. The data were analyzed using The Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 11.5. T- test and ANOYA were used to determine the difference in mean among groups. Correlation analysis was used to determine the relationship between indisciplinary behavior and the various factors. The findings of the study showed that there was a significant relationship between factors of work stress, work environment, supervision, religion and attitude with indisciplinary behavior. From the findings of this study, it was recommended that management should give special attention to these factors in order to improve discipline problem among employees in the organization.
