Abstract
This study aims to identify the factors that influence the non-executive employees towards the usage of the PPE at CMS Cement Kuching. The independent variables that had been examined were the selected demographic factors such as respondents' age, educational level, work experience, and other factors such as of commitment of top management, organizational culture and protective equipment. Meanwhile, the dependent variable was the employees' perception. 35 respondents from department of Packhouse, Mill, Mechanical & Electrical, who directly involved in using PPE at the workplace, were selected as a sample of this study. Questionnaire was used for collecting data. From the Pearson Correlation Analysis, the findings disclosed that there was a significant relationship between top management commitments (r=0.425, p=0.011) and organizational culture (r�0.467, p=0.005) with the employees' perception towards the usage of PPE. The Linear Regression Analysis revealed that the organizational culture was the dominant factor that contributed to the employees' perception (21.8%). Besides that, the researcher also found that majority of the respondents which are (97.1 %, n =34) have a positive perception while there were only (2.9%, n = 1) of the respondents have a negative perception towards the usage of the PPE. The findings of this study might be useful to the organization in improving and sustaining a positive perception among the employees
