Abstract

In general, the main objective of this study was to determine whether there is an individual perceptions of career development that influence the job burnout. The reviewed factor for individuals' perception to career development and job burnout are the career choice satisfaction, and confidence in the future career. Population of this study is done among the firefighters from a selected Fire and Rescue Department. Sample for this research is done for 110 respondents using a simple random sampling through questionnaires. Obtained data is analyzed using the SPSS version of 16.0. For this research, the factor analysis and reliability tests is used to test the validity of the data. From the analysis, it shows that the results of this study has a significant relationship between the independent variables of individual perceptions of career development through the chosen elements of career choice satisfaction, job satisfaction and confidence in the future career of job burnout. Analysis from Pearson correlation had also shown that there was a significant relationship between the powerful elements of individual perceptions of career development like career choice satisfaction, job satisfaction and confidence in the future career of job burnout. While in the Multiple Linear of Regression testing. the selected elements of career satisfaction has been identified as the 1most dominant elements affecting the fatigue of work which contributed 75.9% of job burnout. To note, it is important for organization to take an early step or approach in the -solutions and competence to job burnout as in accordance to mak the work more consistently for the sake of individuals needs and social systems in the workplace. Therefore, this study would be a great demand in guiding future researchers to identify job burnout among hospital staff, police, teachers, and members of the fire which is experiencing hogh level of job stress.
