Abstract

The purpose of this case study is to explore and understand male's leadership in an ad hoc small group setting. The study examined a group that was put together to organized a seminar programmer. This group project led by a male leader and there were 6 members in the group including a leader that acted as informants in this research. The research objectives are to determine the leadership style of male leader and find out factors that led to the success of the group. This research used a quantitative method to gain better understanding of the subject matter. The data collections use document analysis and in-depth interview method. Findings from the study indicate a commitment and co-operation from group members, and support for group leader is important to become success of the group. It in expected that this study was contribute as additional readings and also as guidelines for the future leaders who are interacted to lead a small ad hoc group to ensure success at the group.
