Abstract
This study aims to explore the level of on-the-job training effectiveness in the organization and the relationship between the communication, expertise, motivation, relationship, and the language job used by the supervisor with the perception on the effectiveness of on-the�training. This is a survey type of research which involved . 10 trainees and 12 trainers of Kuching Port Authority, Sarawak. Questionnaires were used as the instrument of this study. Statistic analysis such as , frequencies, percentages and Pearson correlations were used to analyze the data. Results show that the level of on-the-job training effectiveness of the organization was only at moderate. Analysis of the Pearson correlation exemplify that the expertise, motivation, relationship with the supervisor and the language used has strong significant relationships with the perception on the level of training effectiveness. There fore, these four characteristics should he considered in the process of selecting the most suitable supervisor in order to assure the effective implementation of on-the-job training in the organization
