Abstract
The aim of this research is to identify relationship between learning motivation and self-concept toward students' academic performances among form 4 students at SMKA Sheikh Othman Abdul Wahab (SHOAW), Sarawak. There two type learning motivation that has been study in this research which are intrinsic motivation. This research is also to identify relationship between the demographic factor which is gender with learning motivation, self-concept and academic performances. Ihus, this research involves 90 respondents who are in Form 4 students and have already taken Penilaian Menengah Rendah (PMR) before that. Questionnaire method has been used in this research to attain the information needed. Two methods are used to analyse data obtained, which are descriptive statistic and inferential statistics. The descriptive statistics method is used to measure frequency and percentage of respondents based on the demographic factor. While the inferential statistics method are involves Independent samples T test and Pearson Correlation which are used to look the differences and relationship among the learning motivation, self-concept and academic performances. The result from this research shows that there is no significant difference between gender with learning motivation, self-concept and academic performance. While from relationship perspective, learning motivation and self-concept has significant relationship with the academic performances.
