Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine the perception of adult learners towards learning effectiveness in University Malaysia Sarawak. Methodology that was used in conducting this study is survey, where questionnaire was used as the research instrument. Research samples are 70 of adult learners who are furthering their study in UNIMAS. Statistical analysis that were used to identify the significant differences between respondents of various demographic characteristics in term of their perception towards learning effectiveness in UNIMAS are t-test and one-way ANOVA test. A statistical analysis that was used to identify the significant relationship between perception and the influential factors is Pearson Correlation Test. The finding showed that there were 77.1% of the respondents who had perception in the medium level and none of the respondents were in the lower level of perception. In term of significant relationship, only facilities had a significant relationship with the perception of adult learners. Nevertheless, the relationship is negative where the 'p' value is 0.046 with the 'r' value=-O.240. II is recommended that the administration of UNIMAS should provide und upgrade the computers and other learning facilities to increase learning effectiveness in UNIMAS.
