Abstract

As we are moving towards an Information Technology ( IT ) era nowadays, online business or E-commerce is very important and much talked about. E�commerce is implemented to fulfill the customers' needs and ease business transactions. The rapid growth of E-commerce has changed the way business are operated and how the people work. The Sinar Suci Online Bookstore project is done in an effort to help Sinar Suci to sell books through the Internet. Besides that, the project has given a number of benefits to enhance not only the communication and operation, but also the management in a business organization. The management of Sinar Suci Sdn. Bhd. realizes E-commerce can offer them competitive advantages in business. Compared with the normal business practices, for example through the telephone or letters, E-commerce is more profitable where it enables transaction to be done over the Internet. This would also help in marketing and promoting the books more effectively to the public and thus saves a lot of time
