Abstract

This study was carried out to document the water quality and nutrients content of Paloh mangrove area, Mukah.Water samples were collected from 4 stations around Paloh Island starting from the river mouth (Loba Paloh) to Sungai Stalon.The mean water quality parameters of Kuala Paloh were TSS (105.22 mg/L), BOD5 (1.76 mg/L), COD (41.63 mg/L), silicate (1.37 mg/L), nitrate nitrogen (0.06 mg/L),orthophosphate (0. 11 mg/L), ammonia nitrogen (1.14 mg/L), pH (7.79), salinity (25.26 psu), redox (466.59 mV), conductivity (3325.78 us/cm), DO (5.11 mg/I) and temperature (29.15 0c). The water quality of Paloh mangrove area is still clean.
