Abstract
This study focus on Malaysia foreign policy in dealing with Antarctic issue during the two decades Malaysia governance under the administration of Dr. Mahathir. The two decades of Malaysia governance under Dr. Mahathir are divided into two periodical, which are 1981·1991 and 1992·2002. This study also points out the importance of Antarctic, reason or factors that attracts the interest of Malaysia to broaden its foreign policy as the Antarctic issue. Malaysia distinctively stating its opinion in Antarctic issue was apposing by few countries claming Antarctic is part of their province. This study continues in discussing obstacles and the challenges faced by Malaysia govemment in its effort to make Antarctic as universally mankind heritage.
