Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine how far affective domain and parents background influence students mathematic achievement in learning mathematic in English. Data is collected through the questionnaires distributed to the students. The confidence and perception are the component of the affective domain to see the relationship with the mathematic achievement that was taught using English as the medium of instruction. Family monthly income, parents' educational level, and parents' attitude were used to predict the mathematic achievement learnt in English. Result showed that there was a significant correlation between the three factors with the mathematics performance.
