Abstract

This study is to analyze the factors that impact cocoa exportation in Malaysia by using the annual data from 1990 to 2018. The tests which are included in this analysis are the Augmented Dickey-Fuller (ADF) unit root test, Philip Perron (PP) unit root test, and Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) model. The bounds tests showed that the ARDL model has a long-run co integration among the variables in this analysis. Besides that, the ARDL model produces an accurate result as all the estimated coefficient of the independent variables which are world price o f cocoa beans, exchange rate, grinding of cocoa beans, and local production of cocoa beans are statistically significant with the expected sign.
