Abstract

Cupping therapy is a treatment method used since ancient Egyptian, Chinese, and Middle East times for a wide range of medical conditions and it can be described as a technique that utilises cups which are placed over the human skin that create negative pressure through suction. The Safana Bekam Cupping Therapy Clinic uses a manual filing system to keep track of its patients' medical data, which is discovered after a brief introduction to the clinic's business concept. Along with other information, special annotations are manually added to a human body map diagram. In this situation, mistakes and human errors like double booking and session clashing may happen. Other than that, documents may accumulate as a result of an increase of distinct patients, which could lead to long-term issues including difficulties in finding and a decline in organisational effectiveness. Without a doubt, Safana Bekam Cupping Therapy Clinic needs a centrally located system that includes both appointment administration and records management in this particular scenario. Therefore, the Safana Bekam Cupping Therapy Clinic System is planned and built to solve the issues. Rapid Application Development (RAD) is the methodology chosen in this project and the rationale for this is that the needs for the user interface and the input from users are the primary drivers for the system. Safana Bekam Cupping Therapy Clinic will have a digital management system that can replace the manual management system that is now in place with the completion of the system. Regarding appointment management, the system can automatically look for an open time slot so that patients can schedule their therapy appointments without necessitating manual cross-checking by therapists and office employees. Safana Bekam Cupping Therapy Clinic's therapists and administrative staff are also able to securely digitalise their records and data with the newly developed web-based and mobile application. As a result of employing the established system, human efforts and labour in the process of searching, editing, and adding are minimised, which improves the efficacy of keeping records and appointments.
