Abstract
The outbreak of Coronavirus disease, COVID-19, in 2020 changed the world food ordering system, thus, online food delivery has evolved. As society is used to online food delivery, it is time to change the traditional way of manual browsing food in Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) as the study mode is back to normal from online learning mode. Not only did manual browsing food frustrating, but these problems also resulted in indecisive customers and caused longer time to complete food ordering process, prone for human error, and cost for constantly changing the food menu in such book is much higher and takes longer time to update the food menu. Hence, the proposed application development project named “UNIMAS Foodie App” is a modern initiative way in producing a computerized food menu browsing via the proposed mobile app, to enable the seller to store and retrieve the food menu, seller easily do the modification of the food menu online, and view filter search of the food item by food category or food name. The users involved are customers and sellers. The methodology used in this project is Agile Methodology which is suitable to break the whole application into several services this project is quite complex as it involves two different perspectives. The application is for the user of Android-based. It is only available to be used for people in UNIMAS area. There are three similar existing applications named Bungkusit, NMooMoo, and Halo operated in Malaysia set as a standard for basic features for online food menu browsing. The proposed app however only covers food menu browsing, not the food ordering.
