Abstract

Innovation refers to any new development. There can be no progress without invention, and there can be no development without innovation. People and technologies that do not advance will become insignificant and outdated in the large scheme of things that the current parents are facing in this era of technology. Parents are facing difficulties in tracking their children’s progress who pursuing their higher education in Universities. Therefore, The current project’s focus is to create a web-based FITPAS- FCSIT Parents Access System for the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology to overcome issues faced by parents. The proposed system has many functionalities that help the parents as the system user to update and view their children’s information who pursuing their studies in the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology and the administrators to update the records of the students in this system for parents on time more efficiently. Several works of literature were selected and reviewed to get a better insight into the proposed system and applied it in the development of the system. A web-based system is developed and named as FITPAS. Based on the UML Diagrams and methodology, all the functionalities have been created and applied in the system. Moreover, functional and usability testing are performed to ensure the system meets the criteria and functions satisfactorily. The plan and tests are used to enhance the system further
