Abstract

This study analyze the impact of factor analysis on the return of blue chip stocks in Malaysia after the emergence of Covid-19 pandemic. The fundamental analysis ratio which are net profit margin, price to earnings ratio, dividend payout ratio, debt-to-equity ratio, and return on equity will be independent variables in this study. In this study, panel data analysis was used. All the financial data are obtained on an annual basis from the year 2020-2022. The 30 blue chip stocks from FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI which pay dividend will be our targeted populations. All the data on selected companies (annual data) are obtained from Investing.com and their annual report. Eviews 12 is the statistical software that will be used in analyzing the data collected. The Chow test, Hausman test, Lagrange Multiplier test, diagnostic tests, and hypothesis test are employed in analyzing all the data collected to generate the result.
