Abstract
Postage stamps, those odd, serrated, sticky-backed pieces of paper stuck to envelopes and packages enabling delivery to far corners of the world, have served as a medium for advertisement and propaganda for more than a century. Stamps have also proved of value in transmitting educational information on a variety of topics (Kirman and Jackson 2000; Calver et al. 2011), both within and outside of formal classroom settings.
