Abstract

Smartphones are the latest sensation and has been used by one billion people around the world and most of them are adult at the age of 20 until 49 years old. This phenomena helps in the development of mobile application. Mobile application that focuses on monitoring student progression are increasing rapidly however specific system application does not satisfy student needs. In this study, the author will proposed and developed a mobile application that can be used to helps student in improving their time management. The functionalities that have been implemented in this application are based on the reviewed of existing system and questionnaire that have been distributed among students. The effectiveness of AndS-Planner application are evaluated based in their features and functionalities. This application helps user by providing a recommendation for student on how many hours needed to complete one subject and student are allowed to keep track their progression by checkbox list that will be auto generated based on their input. Moreover, It was developed by using Eclipse and was applied Scrum Agile Methodology in completing this project. AndS-Planner is easy and convenient to use as it can be installed in Android phone. Hence, this application is stand - alone application because it does not require internet connection.
