Abstract

Mentor - Mentee Program is a program that every faculty in UNIMAs involves improving their student and lecturers interaction. The purposes of the Faculty's mentormentee system are to provide guidance to students on academic matters and to foster a close and constructive professional relationship between students and the staff of the Faculty. While all lecturers in the Faculty are potentially academic advisors to all students who seek their advice, each lecturer (mentor) is assigned particular responsibility to a small group of students (mentees). Faculty of Cognitive Science and Human Development is one of the faculties in UNIMAS which is active in organizing activities under Mentor- Mentee program and also become good example for other faculty. Currently there is no one centralized web based portal for faculty of Cognitive Science and Human Development to manage their Mentor - Mentee Program. Mentor- Mentee System for Faculty of Cognitive Science and Human Development will serve as a web based portal where student can get information about Mentor - Mentee program and get all the updates of the activities. Beside that the proposed system would serve as a communication bridge, interactive and user friendly system to all student's and lecturer's. The system allow students to retrieve their mentor information efficiently same goes to lecturer's who want to retrieve mentee's information.
