Abstract

Data mining is a technique to assist in decision making. It is a new technique and the IPplication of this method in Malaysia is still at a low level. The data mining technique is widely ~d in the business field mainly to know, predict and plan which may result in the increase of an ~anization's income. This research emphasize on how suitable data mining technique can be applied in the ~an resource management which specifically focused on one of the function in human ~source development, training. This research also focuses more on the selection of employee to Ir&ining program. This research was done in the Training Unit, Human Resource Management & Pevelopment, Universiti Malaysia Sarawak. Findings from the research suggests that 3 Data ~ining technique can be applied to choose employees to attend training program which are cluster detection, decision tree and link analysis.
