Abstract

Mobile application is now gaining attention in technology field as the smartphone user has increased dramatically over the past few years. Android, a relative new platform for mobile which produced by Google in 2007 is believed to be the rising star. This industry has grown exponentially and the demands from public have long gone off the chart. One of the most demanded application is the expense management application. Portability of mobile has created the opportunity for this application as people can record their expense anytime, anywhere. Similar application in the market may be good in features, but lack of creativity. This paper proposed an expense management mobile application in Android platform called "Wispend". It has the functionalities of managing daily expenses, yet applies key element of current trend, social networking. By integrating social based platform into an expense mangement mobile application, it will increase its attractiveness and usability.
