Abstract

A lecturer's workload is divided into four works which are teaching, research, supervision, and administration. Analysis of lecturer workload is difficult because of the hierarchical structure of the workload data. This project is focused on enhancing and extending on a web based faculty workload analysis tool which is currently being used by the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology of Universiti Malaysia Sarawak. The enhancement work involved modifications to the input field of the existing criteria and the addition of new workload input fields for publications and contract work. The extension ponicn of this project involved the addition ofa new course preference module which enabled administrators to visualize course preferences and courses taught relationships. A dashboard for administrators that analyses workload data on 3 different levels was also done in the extension portion of this project.
