Abstract

The enclosed vehicles are the most popular transportation in our daily life due to unstable weather. The crucial problem enclosed vehicles when the car is parked under the sunlight that lead to Mini Greenhouse Effect due to heat radiation. Heat radiation will lead to the Hot Interior Cabin Vehicles. Anything that is above 46.1 ºC according to WRVO Public Media, BBC World Service is dangerous to children, elderly and pet (animal). This project is based on two applications which are an experiment and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulation to study the temperature distribution and accumulation in enclosed vehicles (A-segment). The two applications are based on three hypotheses which are, no conditions applied, lower the window by 1 inch and cover windows with sun-shades. The 3 conditions recorded the cabin temperature distribution above 46.1 ºC and according to WRVO Public Media, BBC World Service is dangerous to children, elderly and pet. The highest cabin inside air temperature (2nd temperature sensor) for the 1st condition is 60ºC, the 2nd condition is 52ºC and 3rd condition is 50ºC. The highest cabin inside air temperature increment (2nd temperature sensor) from environment ambient air (DHT22 temperature sensor) for the 1st condition is 24%, the 2nd condition is 12% and the 3rd condition is 16%. The lower part of the car in 2nd condition has minimum heat flow followed by a 3rd condition and 1st condition. The 2nd condition is the most efficient method for reducing higher temperature followed by a 3rd condition and 1st condition.
