Abstract

The main purpose of this study is to identify the impact of training and development on employees’ performance in manufacturing industry in Kuching, Sarawak. The independent variables which has been studied in this research are training method and training delivery style whereas the dependent variable is employees’ performance. This research is conducted by using quantitative research methodology. The population for this study is employees in a selected manufacturing industry and the sample size of this study was determined via purposive random sampling. A survey questionnaire had been used to collect the data and then analysed by using SPSS. The data in this study was analysed using descriptive and inferential statistics. Descriptive statistics were utilised to analyse the demographic background of the respondent. Pearson correlation and multiple regression were used to test the hypotheses of the study. The findings showed that there is significant relationship between training method and training delivery style with the employees’ performance. Recommendation had been proposed for future reference of Human Resource Practitioner, organization and future researchers
