Abstract

Well-being such as social, emotional and spiritual well-being are the important aspects to be explored in adolescents. Parental divorce is the factor that being affected the well-being of an adolescent. The purpose of the study is to explore adolescent’s well-being of divorced parents. A phenomenological research has been used in exploring the lived experiences of participants regarding the parental divorce. Semi-structured interviewed has been used by researcher in interviewed the participants. The snowball sampling techniques was being used in getting the participants in which first participant that has the experienced of parental divorce was selected by researcher and that participant would introduce other participants that meet the criteria of the study. Three participants aged 17-18 that experienced three years of parents’ divorce was being involved in the interview sessions through phone calls. The findings shows that the divorce of parents has bring negative impacts towards the well-being of adolescents. Thus, divorce parents need to provide a supportive social, emotional and spiritual to their adolescent’s children.
