Abstract
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) today is an important and essential aspect of the business environment. This research focuses on providing an overview of the content and effect the CSR on the performance of the fast food industry. It is noteworthy that various scholars are still looking at the idea of CSR from different points of view. Thereafter, academicians began to dig at the idea of CSR in deeper level, moving from general debates on the legitimacy of CSR to other viewpoints in order to receive a clearer understanding on the meaning of CSR. Nevertheless, almost all of the researches performed in relation to CSR centered mainly on macro outlook with its strong emphasis on the relationship between CSR practices and performance. Furthermore, this research identifies the significance of Corporate Social Responsibility through four independent variables which is the Environment activity, Community activity, Employee's activity and Firm Size by using data from year 1988 until 2018
