Abstract

Motivation is a decision or goal influenced by needs and requirements of individual. This research is focus to theatre arts performing in Malaysia. The purpose of this research is to determine the motives of attendees based on entertainment, actor,social interaction, experiences and group affiliation. The data collections are divided into two methods which are primary data and secondary data. The primary data is a fieldwork through distribution of questionnaire in a random way while secondary data is references from journal, book and article. 200 respondents has been selected as sample in this study. Quantitative method was used and analysed using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences ( SPSS ) version 23. The research result obtain based on demographic frequency, reliability test and analysis factor. The findings of this study has been strengthen with the proof obtained from past researcher and journal from other country with different scope of research. Based on factor analysis, variable correlates with item have been identified. The means has been calculated to find of factor influenced spectator to attend the theatre performance is identified. The basic conceptual frameworks have been constructed based on data collected. The data will be a source of information and references for theatre organization and future researcher in identifying the motives influence the spectators to attend theatre performance.
