Abstract
This is a study about Interpretations of Emojis among Undergraduates. This study investigates the usage of emojis among undergraduates who are using WhatsApp application in their daily lives. This study consists of 100 undergraduate respondents from UNIMAS. The use of emojis and the cultures of the participants suggest a strong relationship. The results of this study shows that there are similar interpretations and understanding as well as different interpretations and understanding occurs among people from the same and also different ethnics. This study is significant as it informs research on these participants' awareness and how emojis are interpreted within and across cultures.
