Abstract

This research focuses on the development of the mobile and web application which is then linked together as to allow access from one device, especially by using a smartphone. With this implementation students and staff can easily access the system to learn more on the OBE. Therefore, this can improve the effectiveness and their comprehension of OBE in their learning system. As for the development on the mobile application, Android Studio SDK was implemented and applied during the process. Then, Dreamweaver CS6 was used to design and build the web application. The main focus in the web application was Final Year Project, Integrated Design Project and Industrial Training. In order to validate the effectiveness of the Feng Apps, a survey was conducted. 50 students were selected among all the students in the faculty. They were selected based on their knowledge on the elements of the OBE. They were mainly consisted of Final Year students and Third Year students. In addition to that, the Exit Survey was highlighted in this research as one of the implementation of the OBE and QMS. This Exit Survey were disseminated during Faculty of Engineering open day. It was carried out in order to obtain the achievement of student’s attainments especially for Final Year Student on their Programme Outcome (PO). The Exit Survey was designed according to the latest Quality Manual that has been provided by the supervisor. All of the students who are currently in their Final Year studies are mandatory to fill in the survey. Finally, the development of both application is successful and significant of OBE among educators and students has made known. Furthermore, from system validation survey that were conducted, it showed that, most of the respondents are satisfied with the system.
