Abstract

Decision making is one of many cognitive processes in human beings and it is always a question about how to make a good decision. This issue is seen in the best poster selection practiced by the Faculty of Cognitive Sciences and Human Development. This research is therefore aimed to introduce a novel solution to aid the decision making process in generating the best poster award result. From the literature review on Multi-Criteria Recommender Systems and Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM), valuable concept is obtained and to be implemented into the proposed Poster Evaluation System. As a result, an alternative best poster evaluation fonn is created for the purpose of allowing the best poster candidates to go onto another round of evaluation. By referring the concept of MCDM, such a way is to achieve a goal by considering more than a set of criteria. After the system has been successfully developed, it is tested by utilizing integration testing and functional testing which examines how well the different parts of system are integrated and do the system able to complete all the functions included. Moreover; the System Usability Scale (SUS) is also used to detennine the overall usability of the Poster Evaluation System.
