Abstract
In recent years, we often read or heard news of child death after being left alone in car. These tragedies have been occurring time and time again all over the globe, including our country, Malaysia. Many agreed that such tragedy happens due to careless mistakes that we humans tend to make. Most countries had started enforcing laws regarding child negligence to curb this issue, but these cases keep happening. This project, the In-Car Child Detector using IoT serves the purpose of notifying and alerting parents or guardian regarding their children. By incorporating IoT technology, the sensor system is linked to smartphone, which will become the platform to alert the parents of guardian. This will help parents and guardians to be aware of their child when leaving theircar.
