Abstract

Data network is a system that play an important role in data transferring between network access points (nodes) through data switching, system control and interconnection transmission lines. (Althos, n.d). Variety of communication systems embedded in data networks such as circuit switches, leased lines and packet switching networks. Sometimes we may encounter network disruption in the network that lead to loss of data network connection. Network disruption can be in many forms such as slow data transfer, congestion, equipment failure and poor connectivity especially in remote area. In a situation when the data network is not available, it could lead to loss of packet and delay time during the transmission. Lost packet will be needed to be re-sent and in certain time during a specific transmission, loss packets can turn into congestion. This could lead to a time out.
