Abstract

The evolution and development in home automation is moving forward towards the future in creating the ideal smart homes environment. Smart Home for Special Needs Person is the project which will be useful for disabled people and senior citizen, especially for those who can’t perform basic activities regularly. Thus, providing a suitable control scheme using wireless protocol mode can help them doing their daily routine. The objective for this project is to design a smart home automation system using voice recognition. The scope of this project will include the control for home appliances from an application which have voice recognition as an input source and being control wirelessly. The research methodology involved is application of knowledge in the field of radio frequency communication, microcontroller and computer programming. Finally, the result will be observed and analyse to obtain better solution in the future.
