Abstract

The development stages of tadpoles of Fejervarya limnocharis were studied as the information about the early larval stage of this species is poorly known. Construction of staging table is necessary because the development of larvae is plastic, depending on the time and size during metamorphosis, and due to environmental factors. A photographs of the larval development were taken which showed the changes in limb bud, and tail regressions, and the measurements of the body length(BL) and tail length(TAL) were recorded. The development staging table was documented starting from stage 32 until a complete metamorphosis, referring to Gosner (1960). This documentation of the larvae stages of Fejervarya limnocharis will serve as a guideline which can be used for future reference.
