Abstract

This research was carried out in order to determine the diet ofHipposideros bats at Mount Serapi, Sarawak. In total, twenty four stomach samples were collected representing six species of bats namely Hipposideros cervinus, Hipposideros ater, Hipposideros ridleyi Hipposideros galeritus, Hipposideros dyacarum and Hipposideros diadema. From stomach content analysis, four insect orders of insect were identified namely Coleoptera, Lepidoptera, Hymenoptera and Hemiptera. However, Coleoptera, Lepidoptera and Hymenoptera are the most common insects order found in the stomach samples.
