Abstract
In this paper researches using theory visual pleasure in male gaze by Laura Mulvey to analyze the objectification of women in the male gaze. In her article, her ideas helped the researcher in studying film theory which is related to the film Buai Laju-Laju and Pisau Cukur. The researcher wants to study about three perspectives in the film which is the perspective of the men behind the camera, the male character in the film and the male audience. The researcher also wants to focus on female body objectification which means women are used as sexual objects by the male gaze. Not only that, researchers also want to discuss the concept of the male gaze in the visual pleasure theory introduced by Laura Mulvey, researchers will also analyze the concept of the male gaze through three male perspectives and apply the concept of the male gaze in short films. Finally, researchers will use qualitative methods in this study in order to achieve what is targeted
