Abstract
The number of Malaysian films produced is getting more compare to the last decade. In fact, the number of mainstream films is outnumbering than independent films. However, independent film is more focus on spatial and temporal in film narrative. Spatial and temporal is playing an important role in constructing film narrative. Therefore, this research focuses on spatial and temporal in film narrative. Researcher research about spatial and temporal in Tan Chui Mui’s Berkelana and Edmund Yeo’s River of Exploding Durians. Researcher attempt to understand the background of spatial and temporal and analyse both films to achieve the goal of the research. The expected outcome for this research is to impulse the important of spatial and temporal in film narrative.
