Abstract
A total of 267 specimens comprising 15 genera and 29 species of the tribe Harpactorini (subfamily Harpactorinae) were evaluated. This study was based on voucher specimens available at four repositories in Sarawak namely Forest Research Centre (Forest Department Sarawak), Sarawak Biodiversity Centre, Semongok Agriculture Research Centre and UNIMAS Insect Reference Collection (Faculty of Resource Science and Technology, Universiti Malaysia Sarawak). Polididus armatissimus represented the most abundant species with 74 individuals (28% of total individual). Panthous daeda/us, Yolinus .fuliginosus, Isyndus heros and Euagoras plagiatus were assumed as rare species in this study which represented by one specimen each. Most of the species of Harpactorinae recorded from Sarawak were collected from lowland dipterocarp forest and peat swamp forest. A systematic account and distribution maps were provided.
