Abstract

This research aimed to investigate the relationship between dimensions of transformational leadership style and organization effectiveness in military. Transformational leadership dimensions included idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, and individualized consideration. Quantitatively research and questionnaire are used as instrumentation for data collection. Pilot test was conducted among Reserve Officer Training Unit (ROTU) at Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) by distributing 30 sets of questionnaire to determine the validity and reliability of questionnaire provided. Then, the actual study was conducted at Markas Pemerintahan Medan Timur (Kem Muara Tuang) Kota Samarahan, Sarawak which involved 80 respondents. The data was analysed by using the Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) through descriptive statistic. Pearson Correlation Coefficient Analysis, and Multiple Regression Analysis. The findings of the research showed that there was a positive relationship between dimensions of transformational leadership and organization effectiveness in military with individualized consideration as the most dominant dimensions. Therefore, the findings of this research were very beneficial for organization and as well for future researchers. It is recommended that organization had to analysed their transformational leadership style and determine which dimensions in transformational leadership style are more appropriate for managing the organization effectiveness. Based on the findings, implications for future researchers were discussed.
