Abstract

Schizophrenia is incurable diseases. However, early treatment will help the sufferer of schizophrenia from chronic phrase. Caring for a schizophrenic patient is very challenged as caring is very demanding. Every caregiver needs a deep patient in their heart to caring the schizophrenia sufferer. Caregiver burden can be variety form. Physically, emotionally, and mentally burden. The aim of this study conducted is to study the monographic profile on the caregiver of schizophrenia, challenges during caring for the schizophrenic and impact of the diseases toward family members. Snow-ball design and narrative case study were used to explore this study objective. Thus the chance to selected different ethnicity of respondent is higher probability. Six samples are picked up for this study, and most of the caregivers' respondent comes from different ethnic background. All respondent are Sarawakian which was interviewed face to face. This study explored the most common experienced facing by caregivers with different situation with one another. The finding found that, all respondent feedback quite similar as all of them dealing with schizophrenia patient. From the finding discoveries, all the respondent explain they experienced tremendous experience including physical exhausted, emotionally and mentally stress along dealing with patient.
