Abstract

The purpose of this research is to explore the children 's experiences towards the remarriage oftheir natural father and their life with stepmother. This research took two case studies to explore the children's experiences living together with stepmother. This explorative research used qualitative research approach in the process ofcollecting data. This approach used in-depth interview and observation to gain the information from the religious officer at the Islamic Religious Office in one district in Kedah. Information also gained from children who their father 's remarriage. their natural father and stepmother who involved in this case. The findings show that the children took long times to accept and adapt with their parents remarriage. Their feeling also mingle around such as angry, sad and unable to accept when their father chose to married again, but at the same time they hope that their stepmother can be and love them as their natural mother. The impacts ofthe remarriage not only involved the children's feelings, but also involved with their actions. Those actions are isolating themselves in the room, show the bad performance in school and sharing the problems with friends and their siblings.
